One of our "memorable" finds was when we accidentally stumbled onto someone's drug stash. We ended up calling the police to come and remove it due to the paraphernalia (needles, spoon, etc). Not at all what I expected to find! Try and explain to the police why you're poking around in the woods BEFORE finding drugs... whew!

What's the strangest thing you've ever found while caching?

In Grand Rapids, we found an art exhibit...with a GIANT table and chairs on top of a bridge.

honestly the weirdest thing i have ever found while caching was when we went to froggyk's cache by big D's and there was these really creepy voodoo dolls in it lol i almost put the lid back on and threw it back where it was it scared the crap out of me. one of the coolest things was a recent cache we went to called hiding near the basement 2 return of the Teepee. when you get to the DZ there is a huge teepee that im assuming some kids are using for their party spot in the middle of the woods. i had to explore so i went into the tp and there was places to sit and beer cans lol

The drug stash WAS fun to try to explain to the cop. He gave us a weird look when we explained why we were digging around, but didn't question us further.
There used to be a cache in Midland called 4 Elements. The final stage had a thumb drive that you were supposed to put something on and put back in the cache, but I think a TB would work better for that. It would then be interesting to get it back and see what people had added.
When Diane (monkeybusiness23) and I were in the UP this summer, there was a cache alongside the road. On the other side, there was a giant welded mosquito. I have no idea why it was there, but it made for interesting pictures.
Outside of Erie, PA, there's a virtual called Auto Art. The person's hobby it to take car parts and create statues. They have a spider using a VW Bug as the body. They also have a bee with the mixing part of a concrete mixer as the body. Both are very cool.
